Syrniki in a sandwich maker

Warm syrniki make a lovely breakfast. Cooked in a sandwich maker, these farmer cheese pancakes are tender inside, crisp outside and barely greasy, with just a little oil on the plates.

INSTRUCTIONS
01

Mix farmer cheese, sour cream, flour, semolina, vanillin and egg in a bowl. If the farmer cheese is hard grains, then beat it in a blender. If it’s soft like mine, just mix with a spoon.

02

If desired, you can add a handful of scalded raisins. The result is a thick dough. It falls off the spoon in one piece.

03

Preheat the multi-baker. I bake on panels for sandwiches, you can use them for donuts or Viennese waffles. Lightly spray the panels with vegetable oil and sprinkle with semolina. This step is optional, but I like it better this way. And the syrniki come off better.

04

Place the dough into the depressions. Sprinkle a little semolina on top and close the multi-baker.

05

In 7 minutes the syrniki are ready.

06

Sprinkle the finished syrniki with powdered sugar and serve with jam, sour cream or condensed milk.
