INSTRUCTIONS
01

The main thing in soup is that there is good stew. Ideally, of course, homemade. But I haven’t cooked it for several years. A good stew has little fat, practically no bones and skin (this applies to chicken). Meat in large pieces.

02

First of all, put water on the stove. We wait for it to boil, add some salt and throw in the washed rice.

03

While the water is boiling, peel the onion and cut into cubes. Grate the carrots. Fry everything together until tender in a small amount of vegetable oil.

04

Cut the potatoes into small cubes and add them to the rice. Cook the rice and potatoes for about 15 minutes. During this time they will be almost ready.

05

Add fried vegetables. Then stew. Let's taste for salt. Add salt if necessary. Add pepper, a couple of bay leaves, and herbs, if you have them. Let it simmer for a few more minutes and turn off the heat. Cover with a lid and let stand for 10 minutes.

06

Serve with sour cream.
