Potato casserole with minced meat

This potato and minced meat casserole uses everyday ingredients and is very simple to prepare. Even a beginner cook should find it easy to make.

Turn on the oven at 180 degrees. While we are assembling the casserole, it will have time to heat up.
Place a wide frying pan on the fire and pour in a little vegetable oil. Cut the peeled onion into cubes and place in a frying pan.
As soon as the onion has become soft, add minced meat to it. Stir and fry until done. If your minced meat is a little dry, like mine, you can add a little water, literally a quarter cup. Add salt. You can add ground black pepper if you like. I didn't add it.
When the minced meat is cooked, transfer it to a separate plate, and in the same pan we will prepare the sauce for the casserole.
Mix milk, sour cream and flour thoroughly in a separate bowl. Make sure all the lumps dissolve. Add salt and favorite spices. This time I took a ready-made mixture of spices for meat, which I bought at the market. Pour the mixture into the pan and cook, stirring all the time, until thickened.
The sauce is ready. Let's start assembling the casserole.
Cut the potatoes into slices and place them overlapping on a baking sheet with high sides. Spread half the sauce over the potato layer.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 1 hour. If the top starts browning too quickly, cover the casserole with foil.
