Salad dressing with Italian herbs

Sometimes an everyday salad needs a little something different. This mayonnaise-based dressing with Italian herbs takes just a couple of minutes to make and makes a change from plain mayonnaise or sour cream.

INGREDIENTS

Adjust servings in the full version

original yield — 4 servings
mayonnaise 1 glass
Onion (small) 1/2
red wine vinegar 2 tbsp
sugar (don't pour it all at once) 1 tbsp
Italian seasoning (or herbes de Provence) 3/4 tsp
garlic powder (You can try using a clove of fresh garlic) 1/4 tsp
salt 1/4 tsp
ground black pepper 1/8 tsp
TIP

Use this dressing for fresh vegetable salads or pasta salads.

You may find the full amount of sugar too sweet. Start with half, taste, and add more if needed.

You can make the dressing ahead and refrigerate it until serving. Keep it in a tightly covered container so its aroma does not spread through the refrigerator.

INSTRUCTIONS
01

Put all the dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and fairly runny. The dressing is ready to use.
