Cookies with vegetable oil

Cookies with vegetable oil

These cookies look very similar to oatmeal cookies, but the taste is completely different. It has a vibrant aroma of cinnamon, cloves and honey. The cookies turn out crispy. But if they are left in a room with high humidity, they will become soft. Therefore, it is better to store finished cookies in an airtight container.

original yield — 26 pieces
Vegetable oil 1 glass
sugar 1 glass
Eggs 1
liquid honey 2 tbsp
Wheat flour 2.5 glass
Baking powder 2 tsp
ground cinnamon 1 tsp
ground ginger 1 tsp
Cloves 0.5 tsp
Additionally
sugar 2 tbsp
TIP

The cookies turn out very sweet. You can slightly reduce the amount of sugar in the dough. But then the structure of the finished cookies will be slightly different.

I didn't grease the pan with anything. The cookies are easy to remove while they are hot. If you are not sure about your baking sheet, it is better to grease it with vegetable oil or use baking paper.

INSTRUCTIONS
01

Combine sugar, eggs, vegetable oil and honey in one bowl.

02

Beat lightly with a whisk. Do not overbeat.

03

Sift flour, baking powder and spices into liquid mixture

04

and knead the dough. The dough is soft, slightly sticky, reminiscent of plasticine.

05

Divide the dough into walnut-sized balls. Pour 2 tablespoons of sugar into a flat plate. Dip one side of each ball into sugar and flatten slightly.

06

and place on a baking sheet at a distance from each other. When baking, the cookies will spread out and may stick together. Of course, this will not affect the taste, but the appearance will suffer.

07

Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 12-14 minutes until slightly golden brown.

08

Cool the finished cookies a little on the baking sheet and, while they are still hot, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

09

Store finished cookies in a dry place.
