STEP 6 — Add the sauce to the salad, mix and refrigerate until serving.

Do you like curry? I love it. For a long time I only used it with roasted or fried chicken, but recently I came across this lovely curried cabbage salad. Here is the recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Adjust servings in the full version

original yield — 10 servings
cabbage (young summer cabbage works best) 1 head
green onions 2 bunches
peanuts (fry in a dry frying pan) 1 glass
carrots (large) 1
green peas (ideally fresh frozen, but I didn’t have it) 1 can
Dressing
Sour cream 1 glass
mayonnaise 1 glass
vinegar 3 tbsp
curry (powder) 2 tsp
ground ginger (powder) 0.5 tsp
ground red pepper (cayenne) 1 tsp
TIP

I added another teaspoon of sugar to the dressing.

This salad is quite hot and spicy. Reduce the pepper and ginger if you prefer a milder flavor.
